Starting Point Sketch
First attempt at a scene with clear correlation to a more advanced story.
Big and Small
Fennec vs Inukari species! Size differences call for practice with angles, physics, and positioning. Lots of fun in trial and error.
Another Enya~!
A silly scene, commissioned again by Enya! Love drawing her character.
Grr!
Practicing further with fun angles and expression!
Arky Showing Off
A piece focused on lighting, magic effects, and expression. I want to incorporate tone in a drawing to help immerse the person in the setting or theme of the piece, helping bring their character to life.
;P WIP
A fun and cute position to practice angles and anatomy!
Relaxing Day
Part one of a two part picture! This is the day version and the second part will be night themed.
You and I - Arky and Mir
This was another earlier but special piece to me, often a depiction of how we will snuggle up in bed to sleep or even just relax. Arky is so much bigger than me it's stupid, but I love it, even if I hate it. xD;
While it's one of my earlier works, it's one of the later of those, you can see where my idea of depth is starting to emerge, even though it's slight!
Ember - Prejudiced
This is a more recent work as of the start of 2025, but I've been experimenting with so much that I'm likely to leave it unfinished for now. I may return to it as Ember is near to my heart as a character, but suffice to say that when my boyfriend seen the picture as it is now, the message was clear. (Inside joke.)
Arky - Half Body
A very early attempt at Arky before even being comfortable trying his leylines, there's a few things off here and there, placement of the horns for one. Otherwise it's a pretty accurate representation of him in a more scraggly form, hungry so to speak.
Mir - Upskirt
This piece is still in progress(it's not updated to my own style that's started to surface), but it's sort of an embodiment of where I'm getting comfortable with showing emotion and expressing the enjoyment I get in creating art. While it's simplistic in form, it's dear to me because it's a physical manifestation of being able to create things I enjoy, and enjoy creating them at the same time. I'm weird, I know.
Panties~♥
Mir - Peace Sign
With this new piece I'm starting to see where I can really go with hard shading, and I'm liking it. I do want to get into softer shading but with the color gradient effect from working in 8bit, it just bugs me when I'm looking at them on a bigger canvas. But that's not going to stop me from searching for ways to do it better, for now though I'm sticking to hard shading until I perfect it. I also went a little different on body type here, but Mir's still a flat brat, so there's that.
I've still got quite a few other pieces in the works, between a disjointed sleep schedule and what not I'm figuring it out! I'll post up some of my latest work after this one!
Arky - Bust
A first try at Arky before I'd gained the idea of depth and perspective, the glow on this photo and leylines are thanks to Arky himself, showing me how to layer over the UV of his leylines, then him using gaussian blur to make them glow. He has this picture on our fridge, it's dear to us both.
Arky - Faceshot
This took me over a week due to playing with a mixture of hard and soft shading, but in the end I settled on a more realistic look moving forward. The lighting is more subtle, but that I feel lends to the tone of the piece. I also played with some fur brushes that Arky got me, they look neat and I feel like with some practice I will be able to use them better in the future, also... EYELASHES.
Mir Leashed
Another very early art of mine, when I was still very much using references and didn't have much perspective of my own to go off. A lot of my earlier art reflects this sort of behavior, so there will be some amazing earlier pieces from the reference material I had, and some less stellar.
Mir - Headshot - Shading
After playing with Clip Studio to find out where I could play with both hard and soft shading, this came out quite nicely, I feel like I'm getting a better grasp on what I can accomplish on large canvases in Clip Studio, while at the same time starting to hit against the limitations of an 8bit color bound program. Don't find out the way I did that Clip Studio only supports 8bit color! Arky bought me Affinity Photo to play around with, I might try that out in the future at some point.
Aiko - Young Inukari
This is Aiko, a character from a roleplay with Arky, she's a young Inukari of the wolf variety. This is one of my much earlier works, as you can tell from the bold lines, simple kemono style muzzle, and simple lighting/glow. She's not perfect, nor was or will I be! But she's one of my first, and I adore her.
Enya
This was my first commission, I put my nose to the tablet for this one, it's the best work I've done since starting and even overshadows my work for Arky! I'm so appreciative of Enya for being curious and willing to take a chance on me as an artist, and I hope that I can continue to make people smile the same way I did for her!
Thank you, Enya! Can't wait to do more for you!♥
Arky
One of my first of Arky where my own style has finally started to show. It looks like I'm coming into my own here in comparison to my previous works.
Arky + Mir - Cropped
This is a crop, and technically a vertical flip of one of my transitional arts, between where I started to find my style, and where I still relied on references heavily. I love it, and Arky loves it too, and while I need to do some touch ups, it's very special to us both.
Tavern Arky
This was the last piece I did with thicker lines before coming into my own style, I love it and it holds a special place for me, but I'm excited to see where my style goes!
Arky OwO
The title is almost satire, Arky doesn't OwO unironically, but this was a work of him that I did while getting more comfortable in my skin with shadows and lighting, especially low light glow. This was the first time I attempted his glowing leylines. (The markings on his torso, which you see little of.) But alas it was a first attempt and I hadn't quite settled on a technique for glow with such. They came out a little rough for a first time, but I'm still proud of the expression and emotion that I caught in this piece.
Crazy Doggo
This is another art just before I started coming into my own style, it's got more basic lighting, but I was finally getting my handle on glow. The heart eyes are one of my favorite things to do in these little obsessive pieces. This crazy doggo has her eyes set on a certain Inukari, a species Arky made up and fleshed out for roleplay and world building!
Mir - Hug
This is a much earlier work of mine, where I was still looking to find my style, trying out more difficult lighting and shading, while still keeping a simple background to not over-complicate what I was shooting for. I'll likely redo this in my style in time.
